Counsellor

A counsellor can assist in resolving interpersonal conflict, problematic behaviours and thinking patterns, relationship issues, and residual affects of trauma. The counsellor/client relationship is collaborative and based on mutual respect and trust. Through therapy you can change self-destructive patterns and behaviours and improve quality of life.

Cora’s education includes an undergraduate degree in Health Sciences specializing in Addictions and Mental Health. During this time her practicum experiences focused on at-risk youth. She also holds a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology. Cora has over 10 years experience working with complex developmental disabilities, working with a trauma-informed approach, and a broad spectrum of cases such as autism, ADHD/ADD, ODD, Sensory Processing, and mental health diagnoses such as schizophrenia and borderline personality disorder. Cora has specialized training in primitive reflex assessment and postpartum anxiety, rage, and burnout. Cora’s areas of special interest include child functional development, holistic integrative health and wellness, pre/postnatal and parental mental health, anxiety, couples counselling, and complex PTSD. Cora utilizes an integrative approach of theory including somatic, internal family systems, dialectical behaviour therapy, and more.
